Following a courageous, twenty one month battle against ovarian cancer, she passed away peacefully in her sleep early in the morning in the presence of her loving husband John. Rosemarie was born on July 28, 1941 in Rouleau, SK. Following graduation from high school, she trained to be a Medical Laboratory Technologist and then worked in public and private labs. In June 1983, she married John Strother-Stewart and instantly became the mother of three daughters. She is lovingly remembered by her husband John; three daughters, Georgia (Don Britt), Irene Natalie (Derek Flaman), and Rhondalyn (Ganesh Gunaratnam); six grandchildren, Crystal Morris, Nicholas Klotz, Caley Strother-Stewart, Kady Flaman and Audrilyn Gunaratnam; sisters-in-law Pat and Marvalon Wilson; as well as many grand-nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Rosena and Harold Wilson; two brothers Elwood and Everett Wilson and nephew Scott Wilson. Rosemarie lived an active life quilting, gardening, bridge, cross-country skiing, square dancing and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. As a 53 year season ticket holder she was passionate for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She volunteered for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Canadian Blood Services, and Westminster United Church. We would like to thank everyone who gave their best wishes and prayers to us. We also thank all the health care providers who have provided Rosemarie with such great care during the course of her illness.
