Obituary of Ronald Chisholm
Ronald Joseph “Ron” Chisholm, 68, of Charlottetown, formerly of Antigonish, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family after a brief illness, May 14, 2018. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Joe and Sally (MacPherson) Chisholm.
Ron moved to Charlottetown in 1973 where he had a career as a drywall taper for 45 years until he was forced to give up his career due to his illness. Ron was a down to earth, kind and loving person who always enjoyed sharing stories over a cup of coffee and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by daughter Kim (Roy) Beck, Montague, son Charlie (Jenny) Chisholm, Montague, grandchildren Allison, Alex and Jonathan Beck, and Walter Chisholm, brother Gerard, Antigonish, sisters Bernadette Rancourt, Ottawa, Valarie Boshman, Sarnia, brothers-in-law Elliott Anderson and Cody Boshman and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by sister Eileen.

Visitation will take place 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, Thursday, May 17 2018 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral mass 11:00 AM Friday at St. Ninian’s Cathedral with Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to Integrated Palliative Care Program, Home Care Queens.
