Obituary of Ronald “Ron” Murray
MURRAY: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig, on Thursday, July 5, 2018, Ronald “Ron” Claude Murray, of Ailsa Craig, formerly of Forest and Thedford, age 85. Beloved husband of Donna Leah (Wilde) Murray. Loved father and father-in-law of Cindy Murray of Parkhill, Robin and Bill Main of Ottawa. Cherished grandpa of Nadine, Aimee and Joseph. Treasured and missed by his great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marlene and Derek Hardy of London, Nola Murray of Wiarton. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Alec Donald and Agnes Jeanette (Stewardson) Murray, daughter Kim (1987), sons Chandler (1996) and Joey (2011), brothers Doug and Keith (Janet), sister Jacqueline Austin (Bud). Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Beechwood Cemetery, Forest, on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Murray Shawnoo officiating. Ron was one of the original staff members of the Pinery Provincial Park when it opened in 1957 and worked there throughout his career, he also was a veteran and member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176, Forest. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
