OBITUARY
Ronald MacIntosh Chapman
21 May , 1937 – 4 October , 2018
With grieving hearts the family of Ron Chapman announces that Ron , aged 81, passed peacefully into the arms of his Saviour, Jesus, in the early morning hours of October 4, 2018 at the Devonshire Continuing Care Centre with his wife and daughters by his side. He was predeceased by his father, Chester Billings Chapman and mother, Jean Ingelow (McIntosh) Chapman of NB. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Treva (Nelson) Chapman, his daughters, Farrell Clark (Greg), Angela Chapman, and eight grandchildren: Daniel, Gavin, Abigail, Mischa, Rachel, Sadie, Katrina and Corbin. He also leaves behind his wonderful sister, Marilyn Chapman, niece Gail Rosen, nephew Doug Baxter of Ontario, and many friends and acquaintances across Canada and the US. Ron’s passion was Toastmasters International. He mentored and encouraged so many people in his more than 50 years with the organization. After retirement from ATCO Electric, he formed his own consulting company and used his Toastmasters skills in facilitating annual general meetings for various organizations including the Alberta and Canadian Chambers of Commerce. Many thanks to Dr. Schwalfenberg, all the staff and administration at the Devonshire for their kindness and support for the past two years, and faithful friends that came to visit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church, 8704 Mill Woods Road off of 91st Street. Refreshments to follow. A private Interment will take place.
