McDONALD, Ronald James
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the age of 82. Son of the late Peter and Bridgette Agnes McDonald. Predeceased by his wife Mary McDonald (nee Nixon). Loving step father of Walter Read (Marg). Cherished Poppa of John Read (Elaine) and great grandpa of Nathan and Hannah. Ronald is predeceased by his siblings Alexander, Kathleen, Patricia and Peter. He is survived by sisters Sheila Hitchcock and Veronica McGrogan. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Special thank you to niece Frances, Dr. Carling Chambers and the 7th floor staff at Joseph Brant Hospital for their care and compassion, to Hampton Terrace for making his final months enjoyable and to special friend Susan Kilpatrick. As per Ronald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral liturgy will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, November 17th at 1p.m. Reception to follow.
