Ronald Smith
Passed away peacefully at Garden City Manor, St. Catharines, on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Carole (nee Jackson) for over 58 years. Loving father of Shelley Crouse, Darlene Comley (Scott) and Julie Brown (Andrew). Predeceased by his daughter, Lori Courneyea (1998). Cherished grandfather of Ashley (Heidi), Troy (Meagan), David (Emma), Heather, Amanda (Mike), Linsey, Jessica (Chris), Kayla and Chelsea. Proud great-grandfather of Brayden, Nicholas, Graysen, Brynlee, Denver and Jack. Ron was a long-time employee of Dofasco and retired after 32 years of service. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends. Special thanks to Garden City Manor for their care and compassion. As per Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family service at a later date. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
