Ronald Aurther Callahan
Ronald Aurther Callahan, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 58 years.
Ron was born to parent Ronald J. Callahan, and Marie C. Coles in Toronto, ON, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on February 22, 1960.
Ron always was a special kind of person with his free spirit and his big heart. He was known as Fast Eddie, growing up at the Pool Hall. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, he imprinted on all of our lives.
He is survived by his father Ronald J. Callahan of Corner Brook, NL; brothers: Robert (Tracy) Callahan of British Columbia, and Mike Callahan of Ontario; sister Tina (Lee Cowie) Reid of Alberta; brothers: Travis (Nada) Callahan of British Columbia, and Harold John (Jess) Callahan; nieces and nephews: Brielyn, Carson, Lionel, Brian, Bonnie, Andrea, Ryan, Teisha, Taya, and Ellie; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ron is predeceased by his mother Marie C. Coles of Newfoundland; brothers: Aurther and William Callahan; and grandparents: Poppy and Nan Callahan, and Pop and Nan Coles.
A small service will be held by immediate family in Newfoundland where Ron will be laid to rest.
We would like to send many thanks to the Grande Prairie Rotary House, St. Lawrence Centre, and the many friends he had there for their support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rotary House (10101 97A St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0X3) or to Saint Lawrence Centre (Box 21331, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6W7).
