Kefallanitis, Rodos, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 11, 2018. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his loving mother, Katerina, his father, Stefano, brothers Yianni (Elia), Michael (Chie), sister, Maria (Shu), his nieces, Katerina, Lydia and Miyabi, nephew, Dion and his cat of 26 years, Vegas. He will be affectionately remembered and missed by his aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and many, many friends. Rodos will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rodos was born in Thompson, Manitoba in 1973 and moved to Vancouver shortly thereafter. He worked as a Longshoreman at the Vancouver Waterfront. Rodos was a kind soul with an exuberant personality. His sense of humour brought tears of laughter to everyone he encountered. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing tennis and going to the theatre to watch movies.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas & Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4541 Boundary Road, Vancouver, BC. Fr. Timoleon Prattas will be officiating. The burial ceremony will take place immediately following the church service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC.
