Reed, Robert R.:
Passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Florence (nee McDougall) for 65 years. Loving father of Robert Gregory Reed, Karen Daly (Dan), and Brent (Sue). Much loved grandpa to William, Shannon, James (Rachel), Patrick, Alexander (Joanna), and Diana, and great grandpa to Tristan, Jack and Leah. Predeceased by his sisters Juanita, and Dorothy, and his brothers Bruce and Howard. Robert will be fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends. Robert was the founder of Robert R Reed Transport, and KW Messenger Service, Elder at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and long standing member of Kinsmen K40.
Robert’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 and from 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:30 pm. Private interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caring staff at Parkwood Home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Parkwood Mennonite Home or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
