MONAGHAN, Robert Joseph
Robert Monaghan passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 59 years.
Rob was born at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Alberta and grew up with three siblings; one brother, Mike; and two sisters, Teresa and Susan. He has two sons, Danny and Jay from a previous marriage; and two daughters, Miranda and Emily, from his marriage to Laura for 27 years, as of May 18, 2018.
Rob is survived by his father, John Cecil Monaghan; siblings, Susan (Marc Poulin), Teresa (Pierre Remillard) and Mike Monaghan (Robin). He is also survived by his loving wife, Laura Lynne; his two daughters, Miranda Lynne and Emily Susan; and his two sons, Danny (Helen) Mailey and Jay Mailey. He will be sadly missed by his numerous nephews, nieces, and three grandchildren.
Rob is predeceased by his mother, Beatrice Monaghan.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Parish, 835 Northmount Dr NW, on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Rockyview Hospital Respiratory Unit, fundraising@calgaryhealthtrust.ca or 7007-14 Street, Calgary, Alberta, T2V 1P9.
