Robert Coleman Forsyth died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 19, 1932 and grew up in Bearsden-by-Glasgow, Scotland. He attended Strathclyde University, where he graduated as an electro-mechanical engineer. After travelling extensively, he settled in Oakville, Ontario where he married in 1970.
He will be missed by his wife, Patricia, daughters: Catriona and Rosalynd and their husbands, Chad and Simon, as well as granddaughters Diana, Avalon, Alysha and Gabrielle. He also has a brother Campbell who lives in Scotland with his wife Maggie. They have a son Christopher and daughter Valerie, Bob’s nephew and niece.
Bob was much beloved by family and friends and well thought of by his colleagues.
Visitation will be held at the Kopriva-Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) on Thursday October 18, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. The Memorial Service will be on Friday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m.
If guests would like to make donations in memory of Bob, he would have liked them to go to the Burlington Humane Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
