It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert Frank Curbishley which occurred at the Sus Health Center on Monday, December 10th, 2018. Born 1933, in Long Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Ellen (Harris) Curbishley. Bob worked as a mechanic for the D.O.T. and Bayview International for 25 years. In his earlier years, he enjoyed spending time with his family at his camp in Cambridge Narrows. He loved the outdoors, gardening and tinkering with old motors.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sylvia (MacLeod) of 61 years; sons Robert Mark (Joanne) of Saint John, Geoffrey MacLeod (Cheryl) of Sus; brothers Frederick Curbishley (Betty) of Saint John, Stephen Curbishley (Debbie) of Quispamsis; sister-in-law Pat Curbishley of Springfield; grandchildren Robert, Kaitlin, Amanda, Michelle, and Chelsey; great granddaughter Kenzie; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his son Daniel Henry and brother Herbert Curbishley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, December 15th from 2 to 3 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel beginning at 3 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
