Robert Eric Albert “Bob” Stiles
May 27, 1942 – December 22, 2018
Bob passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Left to cherish great memories of life with this incredible man are Audrey, Lina (Glenn), Christopher (Marie), and Elizabeth (Dave, Kate and Erin). A friend and a helping hand to everyone he knew, Bob’s handiwork and the results of his talents will continue to live on for us all to enjoy. Bob was the son of George Stiles and Gladys Chapman and a brother of Ted, John, the late Ron, and Brian. For 12 years, Bob lived with multiple myeloma, a credit to his determination and to an outstanding team of medical professionals. All his doctors and nurses are a shining example of everything that is good. We thank them for giving Bob the gift of twelve extra years and for the countless ways in which they eased his journey. To celebrate Bob’s great life, we invite friends to join us for a reception at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), Ottawa, on Saturday, December 29 from 2-5 p.m. Donations to the PCD unit at the Ottawa General Hospital, 501 Smyth Rd, Ottawa K1H 8L6 would be appreciated.
