Rina Zamperin

Sadly, Rina Bruna Zamperin, 78, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 3rd at Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke (Toronto), Ontario. She was born on October 1st, 1939 in Salvatronda (Treviso, Veneto) Italy, and emigrated to Canada in 1960, where she married her loving husband Angelo Benito (deceased). They raised their two sons (Bruno and Paul) in Weston (Toronto) in a loving house filled with Rina’s home-cooked meals using the freshest ingredients from their bountiful backyard garden.
Rina loved to cook and make wonderful meals for family and friends. Rina was also a powerful bowler and often won awards for best score. She will be remembered as a wonderful woman who loved her family and friends.
Rina is survived by her sons Bruno (MaryJo) and Paul (Peter) and her two grandchildren Kira and Mitchel. She will be sadly missed by her remaining family in Canada, in Italy, as well as long time friends.
Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Road in Weston, ON) on Thursday, September 6th from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church (2100 Jane St in North York, ON) on Friday, September 7th at 10:00 am, followed by Entombment at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St, Concord, ON).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made to The Dorothy Ley Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
