Obituary of Richard Manning
MANNING, Richard Earl
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved Partner of the late Marion Kozak. Loving Dad to Charlene (John), Rick (Marla), Tim (Patti), Chris (Laura), Martin (Mary-Jo) and Ken (Wanda). Cherished Grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 3 and ½ great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his brother Russ (Shirley), sister in law Diane, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Richard is predeceased by his parents and brother Bruce.
Richard had a great love for aviation, electronics, model planes, his many cats as well as coaching hockey. He was also a great friend of Bill W. for over 30 years. Richard started out his working career at Silverwoods Dairy and left to pursue a job at General Motors where he retired after 30 years.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Linhaven as well as Dr. Wu for all their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home’s ceremony room. Burial will take place at St. Davids-Queenston United Church Cemetery, 1453 York Road, St. David’s around 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
