Obituary of Richard “Weldon” Prindle
PRINDLE, Richard “Weldon” (WWII Veteran)-entered into rest at Quinte Gardens, Belleville, on Remembrance Day, November 11th, 2018, one day after his 96th birthday. Dear son of the late Fred & Viola Prindle. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis “Irene” Prindle (nee Liddle). Loving father of Lorraine Cole (late husband Arnold) of Belleville and the late Bruce Prindle (surviving wife Kristine) of Chatham. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Ryan of Ottawa, Matthew of Belleville and great granddaughter Taylor McKenzie Cole of Belleville. Predeceased by his siblings Marion (surviving husband Carl), New Brunswick, Verna (late husband Morris), Hazel (surviving husband Don), Belleville and Iner (surviving wife Shirley), Marmora. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Weldon retired from Canada Post after many years of service. Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Friday, November 16th, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. ~ 12:30 p.m. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #99, are requested to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion Service, beginning at 12:45p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Wally Mayhew officiating. Private Inurnment Elmwood Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Quinte Humane Society or Fixed Fur Life would be appreciated by the family.
