MORRISON, Richard Paul
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 17th, 2018 at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. Born in 1954 he was predeceased by his mother Opal Morrison and was her only child. Beloved soul mate and best friend to Diane MacKinnon of 28 years. Mentor and friend to Diane’s children: Jameson MacKinnon, Roger MacKinnon and Darryl MacKinnon (Amber) and grandson Jacob. Richard also leaves behind his fur-baby Rowdy.
Rick worked for many years at Chrysler then returned to Huntsville to drive a truck for construction. Rick was a long-time member of the McCann Lake Hunt Camp. In his 33 years as a member of the camp he was a hardworking, safe and avid hunter. After a couple of rum toddies, Ranger Rick as he was also known, would keep everyone laughing with his dry wit, sense of humor and antics. Rick will be greatly missed by all who have had a privilege to know him.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at his “happy place” the McCann Lake Hunt Camp. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfuneralhome.com
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Richard Morrison 2018.source
