Rev. Paul C. Brooks
1930-2018
On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, Rev. Paul Clement Brooks passed away at
his home surrounded by his family. Born December 29, 1930 in Simonds,
NB he was the son of the late Rev. William and Mildred (Shaw) Brooks.
He was also predeceased by 2 sisters, Edna Rideout (Weldon) and Orpha
McHatten (Charlie); 2 brothers, Harold Brooks (Phyllis) and Peter
Brooks.
Paul was a man of great faith and served his Lord and Savior from the
time he was a young boy. Following in his Father’s footsteps, Paul
spent most of his adult life ministering to others. He was the beloved
Pastor and later the Senior Pastor of Tabernacle Life Church for 35
years. He married the Love of his Life, Shirley Corey at the age of 22
and together they raised 3 girls. He was known for his steadfast
faith, joyful spirit and generous heart. His family would like to give
a special thanks to the care and aid provided by Dr. Clay Marco and
the Extra-mural team in Perth-Andover.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley; 3 daughters,
Jane Russell (Darrah), Lisa DesRoches (Brent) and Natalie Haines
(Ron); 8 grandchildren, Chaundra Eager (Matt), Chantelle Vahi, Katie
Überton (Mark), Corey Delong, Victoria Russell, Jordan Russell,
Gina DesRoches and Brody Lyon; 4 great grandchildren, Fred, Charlee
and Theo Eager and Damian Überton; 1 sister in law, Hazel Brooks
as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Paul was the
last surviving member of his immediate family.
Visitation will be held from Tabernacle Life Church, 349 Rte 110 West
Florenceville on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A
funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm
from the church. Pastors Michael Austin and Bill Corey will officiate.
The interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery. Donations
made to Tabernacle Life Church or the Extra Mural Program would be
