Long, Reginald Nelson – 87, Bear River East, Annapolis County, passed away March 21, 2018, in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Clementsvale, he was a son of the late Parker and Frances (Gesner) Long. Reginald was a carpenter at Cornwallis base and constructed parts of the Digby General and Annapolis Royal, Hospitals. He enjoyed working in the woods, and on his farm, and loved taking care of his sheep. Reginald battle with cancer lasted 30 years. He is survived by his son, Brian (Julie), Airdrie, AB; Richard (Debbie), Rimbey, AB; Paul (Joyce), Vernon, BC; daughter, Susan (Mark), Clementsvale; brother, Raymond, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia), Maeeka, Jason, Melissa, Ashley, Raymond, Johnathan, Ashley and Devon; great grandchildren, Liam, Kamryn, Brooklyn, Mason and Cailiegh, two nieces. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by wife, Marjorie (Pine) and a daughter in infancy, Patty Lou; brother, Gerald. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Monday in the Clementsvale Cemetery, Clementsvale, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
