Amyotte, Reginald Antonin (Ti-Blanc) Feb. 26, 1931 – Oct. 1, 2018 – Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday October 1 , 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Rhea Amyotte (nee Gagné). Loving father of Rejean (Shery), Michel “Mike” (Cecile), Marquis “Marc” (Jenny), Orval, Francis “Frank” (Sandi), Mariline Kane (Bruce), Donald “Don” (Karen). He will be sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Rachel Cliche, Lise Lowry and Rheo Amyotte as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Exilien & Alma (nee Boyer), his son Remi, siblings Emilienne Foisy, Colette Chayer, Jacqueline Benard, Romuald Amyotte and by many in-laws.
He was a devoted & loving husband, father and pepere. An outdoor enthusiast he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will also be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour. Reg worked for many years at Cochrane Dunlop & Farquar Construction.
Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Thursday October 4th from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday October 5th at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Reginald can be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Thank you to Dr. Vaughn, the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Dept. & the Palliative Care Unit and to Father Gilles Grandmont of the St-Vincent-de-Paul church.
