SYDENHAM NICOLE MARTINE 1967 2018

SYDENHAM, NICOLE MARTINE
1967 – 2018
It is with profound sadness that the Sydenham and Grenier families announce the passing of Nicole Martine Sydenham, who died quite suddenly at the age of 50 on the 19th of June, 2018. She is survived by her mother Cécile Grenier, her father Gabriel Sydenham (Maureen), her sister Rebecca Sydenham (Matthew), her half brother David van Binnendÿk (Manuela), her nephew Connor van Binnendÿk (Paige), her caregiver Sati Rawana, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, and friends. Nicole was a great lover of art with a seemingly boundless imagination and love of colour, who spent years honing her craft through various community programmes. She was a poet, painter, jeweller, and knitter. Her scarves and blankets were works of art, much prized by all who were fortunate enough to own any. She will be remembered for her generosity, her creativity, her artistic talents, and her sense of humour. May her soul forever rest in peace and tranquillity.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, July 3rd from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, located at 222, boul. des Laurentides in Laval, H7G 2T6. A short ceremony will take place towards the end of the day at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas Institute Foundation, 6875, LaSalle Blvd., Dobell Pavilion, Montreal, Quebec H4H 1R3 www.douglasfoundation.qc.ca/donate
