Raffaele Chircop, age 82, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Born in Tripoli, son of the late Mario Chircop and the former Carmela Pace. Beloved husband of Anna Chircop (nee Misuraca). Loving father to Mario Chircop (Carol), Rosa Sicilia (Giovanni), Carmela Koss (Rob), Frank Chirop, Lori Murray and Rita Agar (Gerry). Proud nonno to 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters Nina Falzon (Joseph) and Maria Supino, both of Italy. Predeceased by two brothers and one sister-in-law. Visitation at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, February 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father David Butler officiating. A reception in the Parish Hall will follow. A private family interment in Avondale Cemetery will take place on Monday.
