R. F. “Rob” Neate
NEATE, R. F. “Rob”
Age 57, of Dartmouth passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Rob was a son of Audrey and Roger Neate. In his younger years, Rob was involved with minor sports in Sackville, the Sackville High baseball team, and the Bedford Saints football team, of which he had many fond memories. He continued his love for hockey, playing on several rep hockey teams. He was employed for many years in the automotive aftermarket and used to call Bingo at Cole Harbour Place. He was currently employed with Affirmative Ventures, providing job coaching, peer support, delivery services for Common Values/Petstuff on the Go, superintendent responsibilities for Affirmative House, and financial literacy facilitation. He also worked part-time for Wine Kitz. He enjoyed helping out within his community. Rob was well known for his sense of humour, he was comedic, and his ability to make people laugh came so easily to him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Leslie; loving sons, Robbie (Damien) and Willie; devoted parents Audrey and Roger; dear brother, Neill (Karen); sister Stephanie; many aunts, uncles, and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Legge. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 5, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive. Family flowers only please. For those wishing, donations in his memory would be appreciated to Affirmative Ventures Association affirmativeventures.ca, the Canadian Mental Health Association, or to any charity supporting mental-health awareness.
