Phyllis Lenore Campbell
1944-2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phyllis
Lenore (Godwin) Campbell announce her passing, which occurred on
Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on
June 16, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Isobelle
(Bell) Godwin.
Phyllis was the neighborhood mother to many over the
years, with a special place in her heart for her Highmeadow Park kids.
There was always room for another kid. She loved laughing, playing
bingo, doing puzzles, and having the kids around her, extending from
her children to their friends; grandchildren to their friends. For
many years she worked as a homemaker with many nursing
homes.
Phyllis is survived by her brother Roland; sisters Lois
Hewitt and Eilleen Veniot; son Kenneth Campbell; daughters Crystal
Campbell and Nancy Perrin; grandchildren Ryan, Travis, Paige, Robyn,
Brittany, Courtney, and Austin, and always a special place for her
Highmeadow Park kids and her best friend, Carol
Braniff.
Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her
brother Gerald “Bud” Godwin and her special friend, Thomas
“Bat” Walsh.
Arrangements are
under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per the
family’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral
service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the
Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, donations may be made
to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes
Association, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online
