Philip Penney
PENNEY, Philip – Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on December 1, 2018, Philip Penney, age 74 years, born June 25, 1944. Predeceased by his mother Ellen (Nellie) Walsh, from North Arm, Newfoundland; his father, Chris Walsh, from Holyrood, Newfoundland. Left behind to mourn his loss and continue his legacy are his children: Rob Penney (Tina), Chris Penney and Brad Penney (Michelle); his beloved grandchildren: Jarrett Penney, Hunter Penney, William Penney, Madison Penney, and Logan Penney. Also leaving behind, his brother, Bill Walsh from Holyrood, Newfoundland; his sister, Bertha Quinlan who lives in New York City, US; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends – including past coworkers. Our family wish to throw a big bouquet of thanks out to Dr. Lisa Kenny, resident doctor Dr. Squirrel, as well as Jennifer and Kallie. We appreciate all of the care and compassion shown to us during this difficult time. We’d also like to mention the great job you’re doing in the Intensive Care Unit. A very special thank you to Barb, who has taken care of our Dad in the last number of years. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home.
