OBITUARY
Peter Kozlowski
March 4, 1944 – July 31, 2018
Kozlowski, Peter passed away at home surrounded by his loving family in Port Alberni on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 74.
Predeceased by his parents and brother Adam; Peter is survived by children Dave (Leanna), Ken (Colena), Kelly (Rebecca) and Darin (Stacy); 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 2 brothers as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Born on the prairies, Peter came to the Alberni Valley in the mid 60’s looking for work. He started as a tree planter then eventually went off to work for Coulson & Prescott as a logger before making the switch to work for M & B as a faller. He retired as a faller after 30 years. In his retirement he would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed an extra hand. He also took an active interest in his children’s lives and enjoyed hunting for deer and bear on Vancouver Island.
A Memorial Tea will be held 12noon until 5:00pm, Friday, August 10, 2018 from the Kinsmen Community Centre, #30 – 4090 Hollywood St. Stories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the West Coast General Hospital Foundation, 3949 Alberni Hwy, Port Alberni, V9Y 4S1
