Pauline Violet Craig
1930-2018
The passing of Pauline Violet (Buchanan) Craig, wife of the late G.
Berton Craig of Bonny River NB occurred at the Saint John Regional
Hospital, Saint John NB on May 10, 2018. Born in Second Falls NB on
August 24, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Merlin and Phyllis
(Kinney) Buchanan. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
sister, Pauline will be lovingly remember by her sons: Sheldon Craig,
Merlin (Nila) Craig, David (Cindy) Craig and Eric Craig all of Bonny
River NB; grandchildren: Charmain, Gayle, Amanda, Natalie and Jeffrey;
great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Liam, Ethan, Sofia, Kent, Reid, Calum
and Emma; her siblings: Audrey Noddin (Rosetta) of Caithness NB,
Ramona (Lyle) Boyd of Canal NB, Glendon (Kaye) Buchanan of Second
Falls NB, Crystal (Dale) Shaw of Utopia NB, Charlotte (Glen) Norman of
Second Falls NB, Carol (Gerry) Henry of Bonny River NB and Duane
(Ellen) Buchanan of Second Falls NB; and many nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was
predeceased by her son: Sherman; one sister: Rachael Matthews;
brothers: Curtis Buchanan and Neil Buchanan.
Prior to retirement, Pauline worked for Connors Brothers in Blacks
Harbour. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping and spending time
in her garden. She liked to cook, listen to music and adored her
family and enjoyed telling them old stories of her past and childhood.
In her quiet time, Pauline could often be found with knitting needles
in hand making socks that her family loved and appreciated. She will
be sadly missed by her family but her memory will be cherished
forever.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with
visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
The service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm from the Second Falls
Baptist Church, Second Falls NB with Rev. Reg Ward officiating,
followed by the interment in the church cemetery. In Pauline’s memory,
donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the
family.
