Pauline Roberta Hopper, 81, of Fundy Royal Manor,
Hillsborough and formerly of Salem went to be with her Saviour on
April 4th, 2018. She passed away peacefully surrounded by
her loving family.
Pauline was born in Dawson Settlement on June 9, 1936 the
daughter of the late John “Jack” and Mabel (Carpenter)

Pauline attended teacher’s college and started her career
teaching at the old Riverview High School. After she married, she took
time off to raise her family. She later returned to teaching at

Pauline’s faith in God was the foundation of her life. She
was a faithful and active member of the Salem Baptist Church. She
hosted a women’s Mary-Martha group for crafting and conversation until
the last year of her life. She was active in many aspects of church
life.
Pauline enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking, quilting,
reading, and she was a keen scrabble player. She enjoyed watching
Jeopardy, baseball games, and became a skilled user of her Ipad, with
the help of her grandchildren, in her later
years.
Pauline’s love was practical and expansive, all friends
were welcomed, fed, and made to feel at home. She will be remembered
for her open hospitality, her beautiful smile, ability to listen and
keep a confidence, and for always being there when she was
needed.
Pauline loved her family and was never happier than when
there was a noisy family gathering. She loved spending time with her
grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for each one of
them.
