Paul Jensen died peacefully with family nearby Tuesday, July 3 after a too fast liver cancer diagnosis. He is survived by his daughters Dagny (Chris), Marla (Jon), and Camile (Rob), his grandson Elon, and his siblings Kristian and Michael. Paul was born in Shaunavon, Sask, and he moved to Vancouver as a young boy. As an adult he lived in Kelowna for a number of years, but it was the B.C. Coast where he discovered his passion for boating on the ocean. Paul was happiest on the water and enjoyed nothing more than sharing a boat trip with family and friends. He never shied away from a nautical adventure. Convention was never an interest or a goal for Paul, in fact he was skeptical of any kind of group think. Many people found his perspectives refreshing and he would never let an opportunity pass to challenge people to see things from a different viewpoint. Despite a sometimes grumbling demeanour, he had a very big heart. Paul encouraged his children to think critically, dream big and be entrepreneurial. He was proud to have worked for himself for most of his life, from owning head shops to a body shop to making and selling his own jewellery. His pieces were beautiful and he enjoyed the company of others who made jewellery or other pieces of art. Paul will be missed for his sense of adventure, clever wit, and animated storytelling. A celebration of life will be held for friends and family of Paul Saturday, July 28 from 1-4 pm. Contact Marla Jensen for details at 604.741.4225.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Paul Gordon Jensen January 26 1951 July 3 2018 (age 67).source
