Paul Armstrong 2018

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Paul on January 22, 2018. Taken from us far too soon, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife Susan, daughters Elyse and Gabrielle, and daughter-in-law Lisette. His mother Preciosa, siblings Maggie (Pat), Belinda (Rob), Astrid (Gino), Christopher (Maggie), and nieces and nephews will be lost without their son, big brother and uncle.
A devoted husband and father, there is nothing he loved more than spending time with his family and friends. He has been a beacon of strength and has brought such joy and love into our lives. His sage advice, kindness, and the values and life lessons he shared with us have been and will continue to be our inspiration in life.
A highly respected leader in the Public Service (IRCC and CBSA), Paul dedicated his life to serving others. He fostered innovation and inspired leadership and motivation in his teams. Paul’s integrity, his passion for his work, his quiet yet engaging style, his sense of humour, and his “Paulism’s” will continue as a source of inspiration for all those who worked with him, especially in challenging times.
Family and friends may pay their respects at a visitation on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwwood Avenue, Ottawa. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Beechwood’s Sacred Space.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Paul’s name to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation – Multiple Sclerosis Clinic would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made online, by phone 613-761-4295 or mailed to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, 737 Parkdale Avenue, 1st floor, Box 610, Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 1J8.
