Obituary of Patrick Farrell
It is with great sadness that we announce the passage of Patrick David Farrell, 84, of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Pat was born in Roman Valley, Guysborough County, to the late Wesley and Mary Ellen (Rumley) Farrell.
Our beloved husband, father, papa, and brother died peacefully at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Pat was everything to his family and they meant everything to him. He was always available when we needed him whether it was a project, a repair, friendly advice or moral support, and we needed him a lot. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Geraldine; six children, Dr. Patricia (Eugene) Gerrior, Wayne (Barb) Farrell, Paul (Shirley) Farrell, Donna (Allan) Boyle, Mark (Anne) Farrell, and Dr. Shannon (Michelle) Farrell; 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, sisters Rose Layes, Mary Agnes Lock and Lillian (Joe) Murphy, and pre deceased by brother Edward and sister Margaret Farrell.
Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m Monday February 12, 2018 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St. Antigonish. The funeral service will be held 11:00am Tuesday February 13, 2018 at St. Ninian’s Cathedral, with Rev. Joe MacKenzie presiding. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital.
