Obituary for Patricia Jean Campbell (nee McAlone) “Pat”
Patricia Jean Campbell
(nee McAlone)
“Pat”
January 7, 1929 – April 2, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pat passed away peacefully at the Kootenay Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
As a young nurse Pat left Toronto and made the long journey to Yellowknife. There she fell in love with Stuart Campbell and began a whole new life and family in mining towns throughout BC and the NWT. She will be fondly remembered for her love of fine cooking, beautiful gardening and a never ending smile and sense of humor. She was never happier than in her garden and remarkable old house at the end of Howard Street in Kimberley. She also loved to play bridge and converse with her French group. Pat was a kind and caring person who left an endearing imprint on all that were close to her. She will never be forgotten.
Pat is survived by her husband Stuart, son Jamie (Shirley), son Pete (Leanne), grandchildren James (Kim), Katie, Freddie, Zak, and great grandson Carter.
A memorial service will be arranged in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 565 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 4J4.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
