It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Olive Blanch (Kingston) Lively which occurred at Kingsway Care Center on Monday, July 9th, 2018. Olive was born on September 4th, 1931 in Fredericton Junction, NB to the late Cyrus and Bessie (Wells) Kingston and was the loving wife to the late Frank Lively.
Olive worked at the Saint John’s School for the Blind on Manawagonish Road before her marriage to Frank, and became a full-time homemaker. She liked to attend church and read her bible. She was known for knitting hats for the premature babies born at the Regional Hospital and had a great love of animals.
Olive is survived by her daughter Daryl-Anne Polley, brother Ken and sister Mary, grandchildren Paul, Jon, Karyn, Michael and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by David Lively and John Kingston.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) As per Olive’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
