Olga Boese 2018

Obituary Overview
Olga Boese
Mom was the sixth child of a family of
seven children, born on March 14, 1924 to German descent parents, the late Adam
and Justine (nee Herbstreit) Reich in Cesarin, Poland.
She spent her childhood on the family farm.
After the war, she resettled in Germany where she married dad on October 16,
1949. A daughter was born and in 1952 the family travelled to Canada aboard the
“Beaverbrae”. She worked in the dry cleaning industry, sewing industry, and
also did housekeeping for many years. In the summer she enjoyed working in the
garden and always had beautiful flowers in the yard. The winter months were
occupied by doing crochet, quilting, and needlework. She prepared wonderful
meals and the freezer was always stocked with baking.
After years of health challenges, the dear
Lord granted her eternal rest the morning of September 3, 2018, at the age of
94. She was predeceased by her husband Ewald on July 1, 2015; brothers Wilhelm
and Adolph; her sisters Maria, Elsie, Berta, and Melinda. She is survived by
her daughter Hiltrud.
Thank you to Palliative Care which enabled
Mom to stay at home; also a grateful appreciation to the Home Care team for
their extra support during the past few months.
Donations may be made in Olga’s memory to
the memorial fund at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut Street,

Funeral service will take place at 11:00
a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
