GREEN, Norman Harry
January 7, 1917 – October 2, 1918
Norman lived in Ottawa until the age of 99 and then moved to Kingston for his last two years. He was the son of Leonard Sidney Green (Ottawa Police Force) and Rose Green. Our Dad was predeceased by our mother Amy and by his second wife Marjorie. Father of Carol Harries, Kingston and Margie Laird (Don), Kelowna BC and Howe Island, Kingston. Loving Grampa of David Harries (Lynne Hanson), Ottawa and Rob Harries (Annika), Calgary. Loving Boba of Scott Laird (Katherine Oliver), Whistler and Heidi Ridinger (Jon), Kelowna. Proud Great Grandfather of Laird and Leif Ridinger and Max and Madelene Harries. Dad was a member of the Ottawa Fire Department for 35 years retiring in 1977 for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Fire Prevention Bureau. There was never a man more proud of his profession as an Ottawa Fire Fighter. We are very thankful to the staff of Conservatory Pond Retirement Residence for their commitment to giving Dad excellent care for two years. Thank you to Providence Care for the comfort offered to all of us in the last week and also to the kind and caring staff of the Kingston General Hospital. The friendship given to Dad by the Kingston Fire and Rescue Service was such an important contributor to his happiness. The hat and pin were his uniform. Thank you Captain Jeff Olejnik. Cremation will be followed by a private service.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Norman
