Normand Guimond
1956-2018
Normand Guimond, 61, of the
Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, but formerly living at the
“Residence Communautaire de L’ARC” in
Rogersville for 27 years, passed away peacefully at the
Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, on Monday, April
9th, 2018. Born in Saint-Charles,
he was the son of the late Vital and Edmée (Martin)
Guimond.
Normand will be sadly missed by his sister, Irma
Leger (Dolphé) of Saint-Ignace; his adopted sister, Shirley
Guimond (Marc Bastarache) of Memramcook; his four brothers,
Gérald Guimond, Freddy Guimond, Adrien Guimond (Diane) and
Aldéi Guimond (Sandy), all of Saint-Charles; as well as by
many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto on Friday, April
13th, 2018 from 10:00am until noon
and from 2:00pm until time of funeral. A funeral service will be
celebrated on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at 4:00pm,
Thompson’s Funeral Home
Chapel.
The family would like to express their gratitude to
the staff at the Stella-Maris Hospital (Palliative Unit) as well as to
the staff at L’ARC in Rogersville for the excellent care and
compassion that was provided to Normand throughout his many years
living at the residence.
If so desired, donations in Normand’s
memory can be made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital (Palliative
Care Unit).
