Norman Dawson Karran, 78, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Pincher Creek, AB.
Born in 1940 in Kelowna, BC to Fred and Gladys Karran, Norm moved to Calgary in 1956. He met the love of his life, Maureen, and they married on September 16, 1961.
Norm was a proud parent of Todd (Lois) and Scott (Cindy). His grandchildren Taylor, Davis, Connor, Ashley and Devin were the light of his life. Norm will be dearly missed by all, including his siblings Glenn (Lynne), Mike (Heather), Ken (Lynne), Kathleen, Ronnie (Stan), sister-in-law Jenny and many nieces and nephews. Norm was predeceased by his parents, brother Neil and sister Pat.
Norm worked 39 years, his entire career, at Pepsi and was well known in the business in Calgary and Southern Alberta. An avid outdoorsman, Norm was happiest when camping, hunting, and fishing with friends and family.
A Celebration of Norm’s life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
