Obituary of Norma Summerhays
SUMMERHAYS – Norma Marie (nee Sargeant)
Norma Marie Phillis Una Joyce Summerhays passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years young at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday October 24, 2018. She leaves on this earth her children, David (Joyce), Nora Hignell (Jim), Jane Flinders (Bob) and Narissa Summerhays; grandchildren David (Julie), Ian (Lesley), Curtis (Leslie), Jessie (Candace), Jaime (Andy), Kelly, (Nikola), Douglas (Jess), Abby (Adam), Stuart, Maclolm and 11 great grandchildren. She was born into a large and loving family, daughter of the late Nora and Jess Sargeant and predeceased by Jean Sargeant, Nye and Stan Neil, Stan Reilly, Howard Cook, Josie Sargeant, She will be greatly missed by Joan Cook, Rosaline Riley, Nick Sargeant, Digby and Anne Sargeant and Norm Sargeant. Norma lived a rich life filled with family and friends and song. She looks forward to reuniting with her husband Bob (1962) and the rest of her beloved family and friends whom have taken the eternal journey. The family invites friends to pay their respects at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road N. Brantford on Friday November 9, 2018 from 7-9 pm. Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Norma to the Imagination Library www.kidscanfly.ca.
