Obituary of Norma Knight
Knight, Norma Isobell – of RR#7 Blenheim, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Sunday January 7th, 2018 age 89. Born in Harwich Township, the daughter of the late John McLachlan and the late Lulu (Burk). Loving wife of the late William John Knight for 62 years.
Beloved mother of Robert Knight and Lucy of RR#3 Chatham, David Knight and Brenda of RR#7 Blenheim, Bill Knight and Jane of RR#7 Blenheim, Paul Knight and Linda of Plympton-Wyoming, Ont., and Janet Ermers and Brian of RR#4 Blenheim.
Grandmother of Teresa (Scott) Scherer, Robert (Lisa) Knight, Michael (Angie) Knight, Dan Knight, Amber Knight, Arin Genttner, Breann Knight, Megan (Adam) Watorek, Alex Knight, Stephanie (Paul) Erny, Adrian Evans, Olivia Ermers and Julia Ermers. Great-Grandmother of William and Oliver Knight; Alex, Logan, and Harper Genttner; Kolton Knight-Jackson; and Peyton and Brody Watorek.
Sister of the late Helen (late Fergus) Ewing and the late Mary (late Bob) Kirkland. Aunt of the late Gary (Sandy) Ewing, Dale (Alice) Ewing, Marilyn (Brian) Bechard, Stuart (Lorette) Kirkland, Marilou (Brian) Cove, and Nina (Brian) Kelly.
Sister-in-law of Eleanor Shannon and husband Frank of London and their children Mike and Mary Anne.
Bill and Norma were lifelong farmers in Mull. Norma also worked for T. Howard James Company in Blenheim before settling into farm life. Norma was an active member in the Emmanuel Congregational Church and previously attended the Ridge Church. She also enjoyed gardening, genealogy, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 141 Park St., Blenheim, on Wednesday January 10th, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday January 11th, at Emmanuel Congregational Church, 68 Erie St. North, Ridgetown at 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 11am. A Reception will follow in the Church Hall. A Private Family Burial will then be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
