Nicola Petta
Born July 19, 1932
It is with extreme sadness to announce that Nicola passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his the love of his life Giuseppina, with whom he shared 52 beautiful years. Loving father of Ida Kuruc (Mico), Dino Petta (Carm) and Luisa Kyriacou (George). Proud nonno of Josie, Mark, Nicolas, Natalie, Lucas, Arianna and Mateo. Nicola will be dearly missed by his brother Gaetano (the late Lucia). Predeceased by his 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends here in Canada and Italy. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington.
