Obituary for Nicola (Nick) Ribezzo
Nicola (Nick) Ribezzo, 70, of Brampton Ontario passed away, December 22, 2018 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Nick was born January 26th 1948 in the town of Francavilla Fontana , province of Brindisi, region of Puglia. He immigrated to Canada with his Parents and Siblings at the age of eight, where as a young child and throughout his life, his drive, ambition and inquisitiveness led him to a number of different experiences both personally and professionally. Accomplishments and memories that will forever be valued by his family and friends. Nick had many passions, including his love for Karate. He was a 7th degree Blackbelt in Shotokan Karate and known as Shihan Nick, where he instilled leadership, discipline and confidence to his students. He was a dedicated husband and father, survived by his loving wife Dolores, sons, Cosimo and Nicholas and daughter in law Marilu. Nick’s ongoing advice to his sons and others was “if you have something you want to do, just do it!” as he himself practiced. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by those around him.
Visitation will take place at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway #7) on
Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. A funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Cremation. In honour of Nick the family has requested in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the Canadian Lung Association or your charity of choice.
