Muriel C. Kenney
1929-2018
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Muriel Clara
Kenney, 89, of Amherst, at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre on Saturday, December 29, 2018, with her loving
family at her side. Muriel was the last surviving member of
her immediate family and was born in Amherst, March 28, 1929, the only
daughter of the late Frederick and Eva (LeBlanc)
Robichaud.
Muriel was a member of the Holy Family
Parish, and the Cumberland Club of the CNIB.
Muriel moved to Toronto with her
husband, Roger J Kenney, where she worked in a secretarial position
with a local insurance company for many years before retiring back
home to Amherst in 1977.
Musically talented, along with her
father, she was a member of the June Bugs, a local group that would
play at community events and local nursing homes.
She will be dearly missed by her
sisters-in-law, Shirley and Alda Robichaud, as well as her nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband, Roger Kenney, as well as her brothers, Larry and
Raymond Robichaud.
