Muriel A. Pedersen
1928-2018
It is with sadden hearts we announce the passing of Muriel
Ada (Mitton) Pedersen of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough, NB on
Saturday, August 4, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital
Muriel was born in Upper Coverdale on July 13, 1928 daughter
of the late Edward and Eloise Mitton, where she met the love of her
life and husband Karl.
Muriel went to work at Eaton Company on Foundry St. after her
school days until her time of marriage to Karl who ran a logging team
and Muriel became the cook for all the lumbermen. Few years later the
family moved to Weldon, Albert County and Muriel went to work at
Kennedy Nursing Home in Hillsborough. It was here that she realized
she had the passion and love to care for the elderly, she cared for
them like she did her own children. A few years later she bought her
own nursing home known as Fale’s/Pedersen and a number of
years later she down-sized and brought some of her patients to her own
home on Legion St in Hillsborough. Upon retirement she moved to Levy
Road in Dawson Settlement and in the past 20 years to an apartment on
Trites Rd. in Riverview.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Eloise Kilpatrick
(Larry) of Barnesville NB, her sons Roger Pedersen (Jocelyn) of
Hillsborough and Stacey Pedersen (Monique) of Dawson Settlement; her
grandchildren Tammy, Troy, Thomas, Josh, Shelby, Ryan, and her
great-grandchildren Lauren, Rayne, Jeremy, Teagan, Paija, Maleck, and
Cassidy and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 33
years Karl Pedersen, sisters Dorothy Power and Melda Blakney, brother
Fred Milton and granddaughter Natasha Maillet.
A service celebrating Muriel’s Life will take place
at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday August 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM with
Leonard Geldart officiating, a reception will take place immediately
following the service. Donations can be made to the memorial of the
