Morris Davyduke
Morris William Davyduke was born on August 30, 1941 in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 76 years. Morris attended school in Smeaton, SK, lived on a farm south of Smeaton, and then the family moved into the town of Smeaton. He worked with the Department of Natural Resources for Saskatchewan, at Fishing Lake, the Hanson Lake Road and in Uranium City. He hauled mail for Canada Post, owned the Top Hat Grocery Store in Smeaton, followed by working on construction in Edmonton, AB, for several years with his brother John. He also worked as a forestry firefighter for several years in Northern Saskatchewan, after which he retired. He lived in a senior home in Choiceland for several years, then moved to Cut Knife, followed by Lloydminster, SK. Morris loved fishing, hunting, curling, golfing, snowmobiling and enjoyed all outdoor activities, but most of all, he loved a good cup of coffee from Tim Hortons and a double chocolate donut. Morris is survived by, his brother John (Colleen) Davyduke of Edmonton, AB, and their children, Tracey (Stephan) Vindis (their children, Kayla, and Jorgia), Brian (Sharon) Davyduke (their children, Brenna and Emily), and Lindsay Davyduke; and his brother George (Jennifer) Davyduke of Camrose, AB, and their children, Angela (Jeremy Clark) Davyduke (their children, Julian and Triston), Katherine (Dolan) Bogus, and Justin (Kaylyn Rose) Davyduke. He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) and Sophie Davyduke of Smeaton, SK. We want to say thank you to the Doctors and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK, where Morris passed away. A Prayer Service will be held for Morris at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the River Park Chapel in Prince Albert, Rev. Michael Lomaszkiewicz presiding, and his Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Prince Albert, Rev. Patrick Powalinsky presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Diabetes Association of Canada.
