MOORE Yvonne August 5 1925 — March 25 2018

MOORE, Yvonne
August 5, 1925 — March 25, 2018
At 11 a.m. On March 25, 2018 God decided mom had endured enough and called her home.
Yvonne passed peacefully with the caring staff at Cottonwoods Care Centre and her loving son at her side.
She had spent nearly eight years at Cottonwoods, bravely battling the effects of dementia and other ailments, unable to walk and, for the past few years, unable to care for herself.
Her time on Earth was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Beneath an at time tough exterior beat a heart and soul of gold. Her infectious smile and laugh will be missed by all of us.
Yvonne was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba August 5, 1925. Her family migrated west, eventually locating to the West Coast. She worked in the laundry at Tranquille TB Hospital in Kamloops in the mid 1940’s and laundries in Vancouver before eventually meeting, and marrying the love of her life, and best friend.
Yvonne is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Elmer, sisters Norma, Irene and Helen, and brothers Roland and Gilbert. She is survived by her son Wayne (Shawn) and grandsons Kevin (Caitlin) and Scott. Also survived by her sister Dorothy.
A celebration of life will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Variety Club to assist sick children would be appreciated.
