Molly Platz (nee Forbes) April 20, 1934 – August 9, 2018

It is with great sorrow that the family of Molly Platz announces her passing on August 9, 2018 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.
Molly was born April 20, 1934 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England to Mary and Robert Forbes, along with her brother Kenneth and adopted brother Colin. After immigrating to Canada from England (although she always said she was a Scot), she married Kenneth Platz on July 16, 1960 and started an adventure of a lifetime. Throughout their 58 years of marriage, Molly and Ken built a life together, raised a family and lived life to the fullest. Her family loved her dearly and will truly miss her bright and tenacious spirit.
Molly is survived by her husband Kenneth, her children; Chris (Valarie), Heidi (Ken), and Sean, and her grandchildren; Kelsey, Jordan, Erika, and Sydney. Her funeral will be held on August 25, 2018 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Ashcroft, BC at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alban’s Anglican Church or the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Royal Inland Hospital for everything they do for their ICU patients and for taking care of our Nana during this difficult time.
