It is with profound sadness that the Aikins Family announces the sudden passing of Cathy who died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Windsor, Ontario on October 1st. She is survived by her Mom, Joan Aikins and joins her Dad Dr. Joe Aikins who passed away 15 years ago. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her many siblings and their children and grandchildren, including Judy & Glenn (Krelove), Anne Marie, John & Cynthia, Joe and Andrea, Tom and Jan, Patti and Eric (Mesdag), Peter and Linda, Paul and Fred (Bergman), and Jennifer and Mike and Marny. The family would like to thank the staff of Bruce Villa in Windsor for all of their support and care of Cathy in her final years. A celebration of Cathy’s life will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., in Barrie on Friday, October 5, 2018 starting at 3:30 pm. Visitation from 3 pm. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Barrie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association and are greatly appreciated.
