It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Leah Clarke announce her passing on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 94 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 74 years Abner Clarke; children: Gary (Bernice) Clarke, Brampton, ON, Pauline (Byron) Reader, Cobourg, ON, Terry (Addie) Clarke, Corner Brook, Bob Clarke, Nelson, BC, Judy Clarke, Toronto, ON, Joanne (Gene) Hurlburt, Mississauga, ON, Rick Clarke, St. John’s and Darlene (Billy) Beales, Ottawa, ON; grandchildren: Wayne, Jeff, Craig, Todd, Michelle, Kimberly, Dion, Kerista, Matthew, Jessica, Justin and Shane, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Sparkes, Corner Brook and Geraldine Spare, Fitchburg, MA; brother Frank (Audrey) Pike, Corner Brook; sister-in-law: Hazel Chafe (Tom), Corner Brook; brother-in-law Frank (Rona) Clarke, Pasadena; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the medical staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, and friends and neighbors for all their special help and kindness. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Majors Ed and Luanne Barrow officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
