In Loving Memory Of
Mikel Mitchell
Mikel Victor Mitchell, resident of Spirit River, formerly of Coronation, AB, Fort St. John, BC and Cardston, AB, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the age of 64 years.
Mikel was born on June 26, 1953 in Castor, AB, and was raised in the Coronation area. He worked as a licensed electrician for many years. He spent nearly 30 years at the Taylor Gas Plant and the last 10 years at the Cardston Temple.
Mikel was very calm, quiet and simple man. He had many talents and was good at anything he did. He enjoyed building, quadding and being outdoors.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 42 years, Cathy; children: Taya Pesti, Kim (Craig) Imes Nicole Smith (Adam), Eric (Nicole) Mitchell and the late Weston Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; and brothers Ian and Glen (Sherry) Mitchell.
He was predeceased by his parents Arleita and Ronald Mitchell and sister Bonnie Mitchell.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Rycroft Ag Society Hall with interment at Spirit River Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Spirit River for Christmas Lights in memory of Mikel (Box 130 Spirit River, AB T0H 3G0).
