Michael Max DeWolfe Ellingwood
1944-2018
Michael Max DeWolfe Ellingwood of Seal Cove, Grand Manan, NB
passed away suddenly at the Grand Manan Hospital on Saturday, October
27, 2018.
Michael was the only child of the late Ronald and (Jane)
Jennie (McLaughlin)
Ellingwood. Michael attended school on Grand Manan, played
high school basketball and graduated in 1962. After graduation, he
began his fishing career spanning 56 years. In his earlier years,
Michael was an avid hunter, and enjoyed sport fishing as well. Later
in his life Michael enjoyed his grandchildren and playing cards with
his friends.
Michael is survived by his wife Sandra (Wilson) Ellingwood,
of Seal Cove, twelve days short of their 52th Anniversary;
two daughters, Leslie Stanley (Jon) of North Head, Lisa Ellingwood
(Sandy Ley) of Fredericton, NB one son Bruce Ellingwood (Tara
Ashfield) of Seal Cove; three grandchildren Jordan Ellingwood, Jacy
Ellingwood and Rowan Chase; one great granddaughter Riley
Clinch.
There will be visitation from the Seal Cove Baptist Church,
on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 from 6
– 9 PM. The funeral service will be from the Seal Cove
Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018
at 1:00 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation NB, the Grand Manan Hospital Foundation or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
